Users & Permissions

Separate store-level access from WMS operational roles, manage invitations and keep active picking/packing work owned before removing a user.

1. Store access vs WMS roles

Store access controls account/tenant administration. WMS roles control warehouse actions. Giving a user access to the store does not automatically grant every warehouse permission.

2. Operational roles

Common roles include Warehouse Manager, Picker, Packer/Shipping, Putaway Operator, Receiving Operator, Quality Control and Viewer.

3. Team invitations

The account accepting an invitation must match the invited email. User limits are enforced by the active plan.

4. Removing a user with active work

BEWMS blocks unsafe removal when the user still owns active picking or packing work. Complete or reassign the task first, then remove access.

5. Least privilege

Give each user only the role required for the job. Keep administrative settings separate from day-to-day picking and packing roles.

6. Traceability

Picking, packing, printing and carrier handoff histories retain user context so operational events can be reviewed later.
