Getting Started

Bring BEWMS from an empty account to a working warehouse by configuring the store, main warehouse, first product/barcode, team access and one end-to-end test order.

1. Recommended setup order

Use a fixed sequence for the first setup: verify the store, prepare the main warehouse, create the first product and barcode, grant team access, then run one order through the full warehouse flow.

01
Verify the store

Confirm the SaaS store is active and WMS access opens correctly.

02
Prepare the warehouse

Create warehouse and rack locations that match the physical floor.

03
Create the first product

Set product name, SKU and primary barcode; attach alternative barcodes to the same product when needed.

04
Run a test order

Verify order arrival, picking, packing, printing and carrier handoff.

2. Warehouse and rack model

BEWMS does not treat stock as quantity only. The warehouse and rack location are part of the operational truth used by picking and stock movement flows. Use rack names that match the labels operators see physically.

3. First product and barcode

Open Stock → Stock & Rack Inventory Ledger → + Add New Product. Product Name, SKU and Primary Barcode are required. Brand, Product Type, Category, purchase/sales price, currency, unit and image URL live on the same product card.

4. Team access

Store access and WMS operational roles are separate. Grant only the role needed for the user’s job, such as warehouse manager, picker, packer/shipping, putaway or receiving.

5. First acceptance test

  1. Confirm the order appears in Warehouse Orders.
  2. Confirm stock/location makes it ready to pick.
  3. Scan the correct product during picking.
  4. Complete packing and printing.
  5. Verify the shipping barcode and carrier handoff.
